As well as the aesthetic reason for clean floors in terms of appearance and quality standards of your organisation, there are also other important reasons to consider. Many warehouses have a mix of Forklifts and pedestrians, and there are designated pathways and floor markings that must be clear for both the FLT operator and the pedestrian.

These floors are normally a standard unfinished concrete, polished concrete, epoxy concrete or urethane cement – and are commonly used for warehouses, distribution centres, factories and engineering companies.

All provide a stable and hard-wearing floor, but can easily become dirty and marked through spills, oil/grease, general dirt and foot and forklift traffic.

It is important to have a floor cleaning liquid that cuts through general dirt quickly in a single pass, but which also leaves floors dry and safe for use as quickly as possible after. Stubborn stains such as oil, grease and rubber marks are also common on warehouse and factory floors.

Forklift Tyre Mark Remover

Forklift Tyre marks are a particular problem and are caused by the friction of rubber against a concrete where the tyre generates heat and a layer of melted rubber binds to the floor.

These marks can hide important safety demarcation areas and also create a skid hazard if they get wet – imagine Formula 1 ‘slick’ tyres on a smooth wet surface and the lack of grip they have.

Normal floor cleaning products have no ability to clean rubber tyre marks off polished concrete floors!
