What Is Motivate Biostimulant?

Motivate Biostimulant is a highly condensed biostimulant for bioremediation. It acts as an energy boost that stimulates rapid microbial growth, supporting both the indigenous bacteria already present in a waste stream and any newly added, task-specific bacteria used in remediation projects.

Because Motivate increases microbial activity so effectively, it speeds up the metabolic process and reduces the amount of time your team needs to spend on site. You can use it with indigenous bacteria already resident in the waste stream, or with newly introduced task-specific bacteria to kick-start the remediation process.

How Motivate Works

Bacteria require water, oxygen and a food source to thrive and digest a waste stream, converting it back into water and CO₂. Motivate Biostimulant supports this process by providing all the essential elements bacteria need for rapid growth and development, in an easily and readily digestible form that encourages fast replication.

You can use Motivate to stimulate existing indigenous bacteria already present in the waste stream, giving them a kick-start or energy boost if the system has slowed down. When you use it alongside task-specific bacteria, it also introduces an element of competition for the food source — useful if the microbes have become sluggish.

Because Motivate increases bacterial activity and improves the surrounding environment for bacterial growth, it significantly reduces remediation times. The more active the bacterial colonies become — whether indigenous or newly added — the more of the waste stream they consume.

How to Use Motivate Biostimulant

Soil remediation application

  1. Add 10L of Motivate to a 1,000L IBC of clean water.
  2. Apply the mixture to the waste stream — ideally alongside Surge Hydrocarbon Bacteria.
  3. Apply the mixture to a windrow of graded contaminated soil, either by hose or, ideally, as the soil comes off the grader’s conveyor to ensure good coverage throughout the pile.
  4. Use 1 × 10L to treat approximately 50 tonnes (50m³) of soil.

After application, the Motivate solution gives the bacterial colonies an easily digestible food source that lets them replicate quickly. Because the bacteria digest the waste stream as they replicate, faster replication means faster remediation of the contaminated soil.
